Gallery – Pandemic PPE
During the Covid 19 pandemic, Marie was physically separated from her daughter who worked on the frontline of caring for pandemic victims in the UK. There were repeated media reports of PPE shortages. In order to reassure her, Marie’s daughter sent her regular photographs showing what PPE was available to her at that time. Marie translated these images into watercolour and pen; they show the passage from initial optimism to despair to resilient acceptance.
